The Inaugural London Gala in 2013 raised over £1.2 million for the Novak Djokovic Foundation to support vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Djokovic’s native Serbia. The evening drew celebrities, models, and royalty alike and featured a live auction of one of a kind experiences and collectables such as a yacht getaway with Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson, a guitar signed by Ronnie Wood, and a holiday at Richard Branson’s private island.
Famed mentalist Lior Suchard stunned the crowd with a performance and the evening also featured a mini tennis match with Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson participating. The Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party
For 27 years, the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) has hosted the most highly visible and successful fundraising event during Oscars season – the EJAF Academy Awards® Viewing Party. The event has raised over $70 million since its inception enabling EJAF to continue to combat stigma, prevent infections, provide lifesaving innovative treatment and services, and motivate government action to end AIDS.
The night features a dinner, live auction, world class performances and a live telecast of the Oscars that guests watch alongside Hollywood elite. The fun continues with the famous “post-telecast” portion of the event featuring special performances and the additional attendance of Oscar nominees and winners coming from the awards for a night of celebrating and dancing.
The 2019 event raised over $6.5 million for the fight against HIV/AIDS with help from an all-star auction including stellar works from Chris Levine and Tracey Emin. The night also featured an outstanding performance by the Killers and an intimate surprise duet with Sir Elton John and Taron Egerton.
