The Inaugural London Gala in 2013 raised over £1.2 million for the Novak Djokovic Foundation to support vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Djokovic’s native Serbia. The evening drew celebrities, models, and royalty alike and featured a live auction of one of a kind experiences and collectables such as a yacht getaway with Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson, a guitar signed by Ronnie Wood, and a holiday at Richard Branson’s private island.
Famed mentalist Lior Suchard stunned the crowd with a performance and the evening also featured a mini tennis match with Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson participating. amfAR Gala Milano
Drawing the leading personalities from Milan Fashion Week, including international designers and fashion houses, Hollywood celebrities, and top models, the amfAR Milano Gala is a staple of the Fashion Week calendar. To date, the event has raised over $14.6 million for amfAR’s lifesaving research.
The elegant affair features a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction and performances from internationally renowned artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Debbie Harry, Grace Jones, John Legend, Charlie XCX, Icona Pop and Dita Von Teese. Continuing late into the night, the post-gala after-party is the hottest ticket during Milan Fashion Week.
The night is also an opportunity for amfAR to pay tribute to luminaries in the world of HIV/AIDS activism for their personal commitment to the cause.
